Summit County, known as Colorado’s Playground, is well known as one of the best winter vacation destinations in the world. With old mining towns, new resort towns, and everything in between, there is plenty to experience and do. The Towns of Summit County

The towns of Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne, Copper, and Keystone lay at the feet of the Ten Mile Range, home to some of the best skiing and riding mountains in the area. In addition, the valleys provide great access for snowmobiling, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Experience the four mountains of Breckenridge, night skiing at Keystone, the extreme skiing at Arapahoe Basin, The Legend, and the naturally divided terrain of Copper Mountain. Make your way along Lake Dillon on the cross-country course in Frisco or glide through the valley and admire the spectacular views at the Breckenridge Nordic Center. Snowshoe along the highly rated trails of Baldy Mountain or around the Breckenridge ski area. If you are more adventurous, try dog sledding or snowmobiling in the backcountry areas of the county.
